TACOMA, WA — Luxor Technology Corporation has launched a new service for buying and selling Bitcoin mining machines (ASICs). Through its new business line, the Luxor ASIC Trading Desk, Luxor will purchase and sell specialized Bitcoin mining hardware on behalf of the Luxor team, miners and investors.
“After moving tens of thousands of machines and serving miners across a few continents, we established a streamlined process for procuring equipment. Our multinational team has a deep network of ASIC manufacturers, re-sellers, miners and investors,” Lauren Lin, Operations Manager at Luxor, said.
ASICs prices on primary and secondary markets are volatile and are based on macro-economic conditions, various regional economies, and market cycles. These markets are opaque and harbor many inefficiencies and information asymmetries. The Luxor ASIC Trading Desk will trade in these markets, taking principal positions in ASICs to help miners gain access to rigs at fair market prices. Luxor is the first company to launch a trading desk dedicated to ASICs.
“Our ASIC Trading Desk is an important step on our roadmap to becoming a full-scope mining services firm. Whether it’s an institutional miner replacing a fleet of new-generation machines or retail buying one rig, we are able to maximize our clients’ capital efficiency and minimize their risk. Our goal is to simplify the procurement process so our miners can spend more time building hashrate and less time worrying about how to find it.” Alex Brammer, VP of Business Development
The Luxor ASIC Trading Desk is the latest in Luxor’s growing suite of software products and services that support the development of hashrate as a commodity. Luxor’s product lines include a top-10 Bitcoin mining pool, financial services, and data center software products, built by miners, for miners.
Luxor is a fast-growing Bitcoin and crypto software and services company that is shaping the future of hashrate as a commodity with its Bitcoin and cryptocurrency mining pools, its data anlytics platform, its ASIC brokerage business, and its suite of mining software and tools.
