Fixing Tampered or Faulty Innosilicon D9s
Recently many miners that purchased D9's through a reseller tried to connect unsuccessfully to our pool. First, we tried to troubleshoot any issues like incorrect setup or to disable firewall but nothing seemed to work. Then we looked within our code for bugs and IP blocks but that got us to a dead end as well.
Under closer inspection we looked at the D9 log. We found that despite the miner was configured to mine with Luxor the miner was pointing at another pool and the wallet address wasn’t receiving the proceeds of the mining either.
We’ve checked with multiple sources and it’s seems this is a recurrent issue.
Someone has tampered Innosilicon D9's firmware.
How to start mining again?
Please save a copy of the malicious firmware before fixing your miner and send it to us. We want a copy to do further and more comprehensive analysis.
First you would need to download the latest version of the clean firmware from the following URL.
Then go to your miner Dashboard and under the Maintenance tab you will find the Firmware Section.
There you’ll want to load the fresh version of the firmware you’ve just downloaded. Finally click on the Upgrade Now button. Do not close your browser tab during the re-flash process.
Finally, after the miner finishes the setup you’ll be able to start mining again!
